What is a concussion?
A traumatic brain injury resulting from a blunt external blow to the head, disrupting the normal function of the brain.
What are the symptoms of a concussion?
· Vomiting and nausea
· Memory loss of events leading to and after the accident
· Seeing flashing “lights”
· Trouble sleeping
· Trouble concentrating
· Feeling in a daze
In severe cases:
· Constant confusion
· Unusual eye movement
· Repeated vomiting
· Unconsciousness that does not go away, coma
What do I do if someone has a concussion?
· Seek medical attention
· Immediately stop physical activity
· Limit strenuous mental activity
