The Dreadful Process

12-01-2017

I had been at the recruiting process for what seemed like forever - literally. I had been researching schools with my intended biology/pre-med major and then finding out more about their soccer programs. I had fallen in love with many different schools science programs but then their soccer program wasn't what I was looking for and vise versa. It felt as if I would never end up finding the right school that fit both my academic and athletic needs. Would I ever get committed? What wold happen if I didn't end up finding a school that was looking for a 2018 GK? I knew that I wanted to play collegiate soccer since eigth grade and I felt as if this goal of mine would go unacomplished. My dad was truly my rock and personal agent throughout this entire process. Always telling me to not give up hope and that my day would come. I found an amazing school with an amazing biology/pre-med program and a soccer program that was a true competitor in the Big South Conference. I had fallen in love instantly with this school. They saw me play first down in NC at the CASL event in December... then it was off to an unofficial visit. I attended their recruiting camp in April and a week later I was verbally committed. I was blessed to receive this opportunity and I cannot wait to offically become a came next fall. #NBScholarship
